A Structured Approach to Information
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is no longer simply a technology choice — it is a contractual and regulatory requirement on an increasing proportion of UK projects. The ISO 19650 series establishes the international standard for information management across the lifecycle of a built asset, and the Building Safety Act 2022 has embedded the Golden Thread of information as a statutory obligation for higher-risk buildings.

ISO 19650 Information Management
Establishment of information management processes in accordance with BS EN ISO 19650-1 and 19650-2. We prepare Employer's Information Requirements (EIR), review BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and audit information deliverables against the agreed information requirements.
Golden Thread — Building Safety Act 2022
The Golden Thread is a statutory requirement for higher-risk buildings under the Building Safety Act 2022. It requires that structured, accurate, and accessible information about a building is created and maintained from design through to occupation and beyond. We advise on Golden Thread strategy, information structure, and the selection of appropriate Common Data Environments.
Employer's Information Requirements (EIR)
Preparation of clear, proportionate EIRs that define the information the client requires from the supply chain at each stage of the project. Well-drafted EIRs are the foundation of effective information management and reduce the risk of information disputes.
Common Data Environment (CDE) Strategy
Advice on the selection, configuration, and governance of a Common Data Environment appropriate to the project's scale and complexity. We are platform-agnostic and advise on the basis of the project's information requirements, not vendor preference.
BIM Audits & Compliance Reviews
Independent review of BIM deliverables, model quality, and information management processes against the agreed EIR and BEP. We identify gaps, non-conformances, and risks before they become programme or regulatory issues.
Asset Information Model (AIM) Handover
Support for the transition from the Project Information Model (PIM) to the Asset Information Model (AIM) at practical completion. Ensuring that the information handed to the building owner or operator meets the requirements of the Golden Thread and supports safe occupation.
